Temporarily suspended data collection from Google Ads advertising accounts: campaign costs, clicks, and impressions
Google Ads (formerly AdWords) is an online advertising platform developed by Google. MyTracker supports the full integration with Google Ads:
Once you configure install tracking, MyTracker will display stats on users brought in by Google. These stats will allow you to evaluate audience quality and the ad network performance, and to compare paid and organic traffic.
Stats are much more than just the number of installs broken down by campaign, country, region, and device model. They also include advanced metrics such as DAU, MAU, Retention, LTV and many others
To set up tracking for an app, you need to create a Link ID in Google Ads, add it to MyTracker, send a test conversion and import it into Google Ads. You should also make sure that the MyTracker SDK is integrated into the app.
To track installs on iOS 14.5+, you additionally need to set up data import from Google Ads.
For more details, refer to Install tracking
MyTracker can import Google Ads stats on ad impressions, clicks, and costs. This allows you to:
To configure data import, you need to sign in to your Google Ads account, open MyTracker’s Google Ads integration page, select your MyTracker account, and click Link. Starting the day your account is linked, MyTracker will be collecting impression, click and cost stats from both accounts.
For more details, refer to Data import from Google Ads
Google describes conversion as any action that is valuable to your business, such as installing an app, making a payment, adding to cart, leveling up in a game, and so on. You can configure MyTracker to send any conversions to Google.
Once you set up conversions export, you will be able to:
MyTracker automatically sends basic conversions (first_open and session_start) to Google Ads, provided that you have specified the Link ID for the app. For more details, refer to Enabling tracking.
For other conversions (payments, etc.), export settings need to be configured. To do this, go to the Google Ads integration page, enable export of the required conversions, and import the conversions into Google Ads.
For more details on the settings, refer to Sending conversions.
