A user path is an analytics tool that can show the user journey before or after a specific event or a site page. It can be used to learn how users move within the site or app:
MyTracker lets you explore user paths within the site, app, or project. You can build paths from or to a particular node, hide events and URLs that are not needed for analysis.
For example, the picture below shows a three-step diagram with the initial node selected as the URL of the page example.com.
You can select a system event, custom event, or a site page as a node and build user paths through a website. For mobile apps, you can build paths only by system and custom events.
Before building a path diagram for a custom event, make sure you have configured event tracking for iOS, Android, Unity, Flutter, , or Web platforms, or set up event sending via S2S API.
You can build paths by device and user:
The audience type is indicated in the user paths list by the letters d and u written in superscript.
You can share a saved path with colleagues who have access to the account. To do this, copy the link from the browser address bar and pass it on to your colleague.
The link will provide access to the diagram and its parameters: general information, selected custom events, URL, and filters.
