Web counter

Web counter allows you to collect data on web applications. Through the web counter, MyTracker tracks stats on your website visitors, then enriches it with mobile data and create the whole picture of all project platforms.

MyTracker works with Top Mail.Ru counters. Installed on all pages of your site, the counter collects data about web audience of your project. To start tracking, give MyTracker the identifier of a valid counter or create new one.

Adding a new counter

If you do not have Top Mail.Ru counter then for web tracking add a new counter:

  1. In the applications list click  in the app row.
  2. On the Web counter tab click the Create new link.
  3. Enter the code, read the license agreement and click Save. Web counter will be registered in Top Mail.Ru.
  4. Click COM domain to replace the appropriate code parts automatically if you want to use alternative CDN.

As a result, you will get the counter code to install it on all pages of your site.

Adding Top Mail.Ru counter

If you have Top Mail.Ru counter then for web tracking pass the counter ID to MyTracker:

  1. In the applications list click  in the app row.
  2. On the Web counter tab enter the identifier in the Counter ID field or select it from counters detected by the specified URL. As a result, the letter with the counter confirmation will be sent to the email registered in the Top Mail.Ru.
  3. Enter the captcha code you see and click Send.
  4. Confirm counter through email.

After the counter confirmation, ensure you installed the code on all pages of your site

Selecting counter domain

Select the necessary domain according to the region of visits you want to track.

After MyTracker generated the counter code, click:

  • RU domain — to count website visits from regions, where the VK services are available.
  • COM domain — to count website visits from regions, where VK the services are not available. For details, go to the Alternative CDN section.

MyTracker automatically replaces the necessary code parts.

Ensure you installed the code on all pages of your site
